A desktop app for Cline CLI
AgentVera opens the cline command in a real terminal. Model and thinking effort are set per agent; the Cline session is found after the first message and the agent returns to it on later launches.
Cline in AgentVera
- Command
cline- Install
npm i -g cline- Sign-in
- Cline uses its own provider setup (cline auth); if it isn’t set up, the agent’s terminal asks on first launch.
- Model
- Left empty, Cline’s saved model is used; a chosen model is also written to Cline’s settings.
- Effort
- Low, medium, high and extra high (--thinking).
- Role
- Cline CLI has no extra-instructions flag; use AGENTS.md or rule files for lasting instructions.
- Session resume
- Cline creates the session on the first message; AgentVera finds the id with cline history and returns with --id next time.
- MCP and browser
- AgentVera’s MCP servers aren’t passed to Cline.
What every agent gets
Side-by-side panes
The agent opens in the same grid as the project’s other agents; the layout is remembered per project.
Flows
When the agent finishes a turn, its reply goes through a template to another agent; turn limits stop loops.
Automatic code review
When a turn ends, the code it wrote is reviewed by the Claude model you pick, with findings linked to file:line.
Telegram notifications
Finished turns, errors and flows waiting for approval reach your phone; reply to message the agent.
Queue and broadcast
Queue a message while the agent is busy, or send one message to the agents you pick.
Picks up where it left off
An agent that has received a message returns to its conversation when the app reopens.
Questions
How do I pick Cline’s model?
Type it in the model field of the new agent dialog. Left empty, Cline’s saved model is used.
Does Cline write anything to my repository?
Cline keeps git checkpoints under refs/cline/checkpoints. That’s Cline’s own behavior.
