A desktop app for Codex CLI
AgentVera opens Codex CLI in real terminals, per project. Each Codex agent runs with its own account, model and effort; the remaining limits of every account show in the status bar, and when one runs out the agent moves to the next.
Codex in AgentVera
- Command
codex- Sign-in
- The default account uses your existing Codex login. Every account you add gets its own CODEX_HOME folder; you sign in with codex login in the app’s terminal.
- Model
- Models are read live with codex debug models.
- Effort
- The effort levels the selected model offers, picked with a slider.
- Role
- The role is passed to Codex as developer_instructions.
- Session resume
- Each agent gets a stable conversation key; when the app reopens, the agent continues from the CLI’s local history. A conversation can be forked into a new agent with codex fork.
- MCP and browser
- The MCP servers registered in AgentVera and the AgentVera browser attach on every launch.
- Install
- See the tool’s own docs for installation; the command only needs to be on your PATH.
What every agent gets
Side-by-side panes
The agent opens in the same grid as the project’s other agents; the layout is remembered per project.
Flows
When the agent finishes a turn, its reply goes through a template to another agent; turn limits stop loops.
Automatic code review
When a turn ends, the code it wrote is reviewed by the Claude model you pick, with findings linked to file:line.
Telegram notifications
Finished turns, errors and flows waiting for approval reach your phone; reply to message the agent.
Queue and broadcast
Queue a message while the agent is busy, or send one message to the agents you pick.
Picks up where it left off
An agent that has received a message returns to its conversation when the app reopens.
Questions
I signed in with my ChatGPT plan. Do I need an API key?
No. AgentVera uses Codex’s own login and doesn’t ask for another key.
Can I use several Codex accounts at once?
Yes. Each account signs in from its own CODEX_HOME folder, and you pick one when you create an agent.
Can I copy a Codex conversation into another agent?
Yes. When you duplicate an agent, the conversation can be forked along with it through codex fork.
