AgentVera opens Nous Research’s hermes command in a real terminal. Hermes uses the provider and model you configured; AgentVera passes the agent’s role on every launch and finds its session so it can continue.

Sign-in
Hermes uses the provider and credentials you picked with hermes model; if it isn’t set up yet, run hermes setup first.
Model
Left empty, Hermes’ default model is used; AgentVera only passes an optional -m <model>.
Effort
Hermes has no effort levels.
Role
The role is passed as a temporary system instruction; it isn’t saved to the session and is applied again on every launch.
Session resume
The session id is read from the startup banner or, after the first reply, from hermes sessions list. If none is saved, the agent opens a new session.
MCP and browser
Hermes uses its own hermes mcp setup; AgentVera’s MCP servers aren’t passed.

What every agent gets

  • Side-by-side panes

    The agent opens in the same grid as the project’s other agents; the layout is remembered per project.

  • Flows

    When the agent finishes a turn, its reply goes through a template to another agent; turn limits stop loops.

  • Automatic code review

    When a turn ends, the code it wrote is reviewed by the Claude model you pick, with findings linked to file:line.

  • Telegram notifications

    Finished turns, errors and flows waiting for approval reach your phone; reply to message the agent.

  • Queue and broadcast

    Queue a message while the agent is busy, or send one message to the agents you pick.

  • Picks up where it left off

    An agent that has received a message returns to its conversation when the app reopens.

Questions

Which model does Hermes use?

The provider and model you chose with hermes model. If you want a different model per agent, AgentVera passes it with -m.

Is the role saved to the Hermes session?

No. The role is a temporary system instruction, given again on every launch.
