Undo agent turns and replay sessions
When an agent heads the wrong way, you want to see what it changed and when, and go back. Checkpoints and Session replay, in the pane’s Options menu, are made for that.
Checkpoints: a snapshot of every turn
At the start of each turn the working folder is snapshotted to a hidden git ref; branches, the index and the stash stay untouched. The last 60 turns are kept per agent.
- See which files each turn changed.
- Undo a turn’s changes.
- Undo the undo, too, by returning to that state.
Session replay
For Claude and Codex sessions, a full-screen view lists the turns with their prompt, duration, tool count and file count. Open a turn to see the prompt, agent messages, tool calls, commands, edits, denied approvals, errors and the result on a timeline. Play steps through the events, and the scrubber jumps to any moment.
Questions
Do checkpoints touch my branches or stash?
No. Snapshots live on a hidden git ref; branches, the index and the stash are left alone.
Which agents have session replay?
Claude Code and Codex sessions. It isn’t available for agents on a remote server, and Codex replays carry less detail.
How many turns are kept?
The last 60 turns per agent.
